Shama Goklani
I'm Shama Goklani, LCSW, an Indian-American therapist born and raised in New York with over ten years of experience working with adults and couples. As a Deaf therapist, my lived experience informs my approach, fostering a deep understanding of navigating identity, communication barriers, and the complexities of feeling unheard.
As the Director of Clinical Operations at Gaya Therapy, I oversee clinician growth and clinical standards with a focus on culturally responsive care. My therapeutic approach integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, and emotion-focused techniques, honing in on the mind-body connection to help you process past experiences stored in the body, understand your emotional patterns, and build healthier and stronger relationships.
If you’re ready to explore your story in a space that truly listens, I’m here to support you.
