Preeti Rijal
As a Nepalese American therapist who grew up in Nepal and moved to the U.S. as a young adult, I understand the layered experience of navigating identity, belonging, and purpose across cultures. My immigrant journey shapes my work with individuals and couples striving to feel aligned with their authentic selves while balancing family expectations, cultural values, and personal aspirations.
Drawing from Attachment-Focused Therapy and Inner Child Work, our sessions will be collaborative and connected to the body’s sensations. Together, we’ll explore how historic relationship patterns, generational trauma, and societal influences contribute to experiences of anxiety, perfectionism, and dissatisfaction in everyday life.
Our work will center on cultivating awareness of your body’s signals, helping you feel more attuned to yourself and capable of holding the full range of feelings safely. If you often feel stretched thin or disconnected from your needs while meeting external demands, therapy with me offers a space to move from overwhelm to grounded empowerment.
*In addition to English, I can speak Nepali and Hindi.
