Paulomi (Polly) Mehta
I’m Polly, an Indian American psychotherapist trained at the University of Pennsylvania. Having immigrated from Mumbai at a young age, I understand the complexities of adjusting to new spaces while honoring familial/cultural values. My experience navigating multiple identities deeply informs my capacity to support those who are similarly trying to find a sense of stability.
If you’re a young adult or couple struggling with perfectionism, relational challenges, family conflict, eating issues/ body image, self-esteem, or abandonment wounds, I’m here to help you through it. Our sessions will incorporate emotion-focused, attachment-based, and mind-body modalities to regulate your nervous system, bring visibility to your story, and shift any harmful internalized messages that still hold you back.
I also specialize in supporting queer folx grappling with guilt or shame, helping lead towards stronger self-acceptance. Together, we will mobilize towards the empowered and self-compassionate stance that you deserve.
*In addition to English, I can speak Hindi and Gujarati.
